Ellen has a down-to-earth, no nonsense approach to business and life coaching, with a generous portion of humor added. She has been a coach and consultant for 20 plus years. As an artist she brings a fresh approach to viewing problems and concerns of the day-to-day workings of business. Her strong suit is working directly with people to break open the logjams of life and work and have people back in action.
In 1992, Ellen founded and co-produced a non-profit art program, The Sierra Art Trails, which is an open studio tour that covers two counties and 5 towns in the Sierra foothills. There are currently more than 125 artists showing in 75 locations. The commitment of the organization is to promote the Yosemite and foothill area as an arts destination and to provide education to people of all ages. She is also President of the local artists’ organization, Yosemite Western Artists. Ellen’s own mediums are sculpting and painting. She works with plaster and wood to create work that has been shown in Southern California and the mountain area by Yosemite. She is currently working on totem poles and painted furniture
Ellen loves to talk about the “Art of Business” – where business is much like working on a sculpture or painting…where you begin with an idea and as it develops and gets a life of it own; being able to let it grow in unexpected and surprising ways to its full expression which is often far beyond the initial idea.
She is a busy, busy person, with her consulting, art projects, participation in two art organizations in the foothills, gardening, quilting, and being a successful homemaker, and, lately, raising chickens. She brings an engaging personality, high energy, full participation, and fun to each of her projects.
Ellen has a Bachelors Degree from Cal State Fullerton and has always had a commitment to people expressing their passions and developing themselves as leaders in their communities and workplace.
