Linda WalkerLinda Walker completed a 30 year career as Group Vice President, Human Resources for Parker Aerospace.  Parker Aerospace has sales of over $1.7 billion and is a business sector of Parker Hannifin Corporation, with sales of over $10 billion. Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 500 company and for a number of years has been included in Industry Week’s list of the “100 Best Managed Companies.”

A Parker employee from 1977 to 2007, Linda was responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of human resources for 10 divisions.  Her responsibilities spanned over 33 facilities with 5,500 employees located in 10 countries.

Several years ago, Linda was honored as the Human Resources Executive of the Year for Orange County by the National Human Resources Association.   She has been the recipient of a number of other awards as well.

In addition to her work at Parker Aerospace, Linda has been a popular guest speaker for such organizations as the USC Center for Effective Organizations, the Aerospace Industries Association, Human Resources Policy Association, National Human Resources Association, Electronic Wage & Salary Association, Manufacturer’s Compensation Group, the Aerospace Special Interest Group and Chapman University.

As a board member, Linda has regularly contributed expertise to various companies including Bodega Chocolate Company and The Leets Consortium and is currently on the Advisory Board for the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, Orfalea College of Business.

One of Linda’s strengths is in translating over 30 years of business experience into her current work as a coach and consultant.  She provides a number of consulting, coaching and facilitation services with the company she founded, L. Walker and Associates.  Her clients range from those in management roles up to and including CEO’s. Linda is known for her honest and straightforward communication style.  She effectively provides a role as an accountability partner for action and growth. Over her career, she has coached hundreds of individuals by working through personal barriers to excellence.   Linda has transformed individuals and groups in overcoming conflicts, learning the value of collaboration and becoming high performing individuals or teams that are aligned with the organization’s vision, strategies and values.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. She also successfully completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of California, Irvine and the Parker International Executive Leadership Program that was held in Stockholm, Prague and the U.S.
