Founded in 1990 by Dwight and Suzanne Frindt, the name 2130 Partners™ and the company’s core philosophy are derived from the Native American notion, (often attributed to the Iroquois Confederacy), that leaders are accountable in their decision making for their impact on each of the next seven generations. Since the firm was founded in 1990, seven generations was estimated to be 140 years – or the year 2130. This was the beginning of 2130 Partners’ commitment to working from a long term, vision-focused perspective in all of their work.

While developing the philosophies of 2130 Partners, Dwight and Suzanne have also served as Group Chairs, (facilitators), for San Diego-based Vistage International, a worldwide organization chartered to increase the effectiveness and enhance the lives of chief executives and those they influence. Vistage is active in 16 countries and in 200+ cities across the US. The network of Vistage members is comprised of over 14,000 CEOs, entrepreneurs and business owners who meet regularly in small group interactions, and also participate in private coaching sessions.
Through facilitation of these sessions, Dwight and Suzanne began to understand the vast opportunity before them to provide entrepreneurial firms and their leadership teams with much needed, practical and creative methodologies for actualizing substantial opportunities and solving challenging problems.
By early 2000, the Principals of 2130 were interacting with an average of 100 clients per month, either as representatives of 2130 Partners or as Vistage Group Chairs. This breadth of experience allowed the team to develop a deep understanding of the common issues facing leaders of small to medium-sized businesses.
In addition to their extensive work in the business community, 2130 Partners team members also maintain ongoing involvement with The Hunger Project, a strategic, non-profit organization committed to ending hunger worldwide on a sustainable basis. Through their continued participation with The Hunger Project, they are constantly learning new approaches to creating vision, calling forth leadership and commitment, developing bold strategies, and causing actions to achieve significant and surprising results.
Their many years of “in the trenches” experience with clients, combined with “field observations” through The Hunger Project, have produced the cornerstone of 2130 Partner’s work, “Vision-Focused Leadership™,” which weaves together elements of vision- focused strategic planning, leadership development, and new communication strategies for leadership teams.
